WATCH: Coach Van Horn and players recap 8-1 exhibition victory over Oklahoma State

Fayetteville, AR (KNWA/KFTA) – Coach Van Horn, as well as Zach Root, Landon Beidelschies, and Brent Iredale met with the media following Arkansas’ 8-1 exhibition victory over Oklahoma State.

Iredale led the Hogs at the plate with a 4-4 showing with 1 RBI. The third baseman hails from Sydney, Australia and transferred from New Mexico Junior College in the offseason.

Zach Root threw 2.0 innings giving up an unearned run and striking out four. Root was one of the most coveted LHP transfers this offseason coming to Fayetteville from East Carolina.

Beidelschies fits the same description making the move from Ohio State to Arkansas during the summer. The southpaw threw a scoreless inning and struck out two.

Arkansas and Oklahoma State are set to play two five inning games on Saturday. First pitch is set for noon.
