FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) – Following No. 14 Arkansas softball’s 10-2 game two win over Kentucky, head coach Courtney Deifel, first baseman Bri Ellis, and designated player Courtney Day spoke to the media.

Arkansas got out to a hot start. It took starter Robyn Herron five pitches to retire the Wildcats in the top of the first, then Arkansas put up three runs in the bottom of the first capped off by Day’s two-run home run.

In the bottom of the second, four more runs were scored by the Hogs to make it a 7-1 lead. From there, the Hogs went in cruise control before Raigan Kramer hit a walk off single for the Razorbacks to get the mercy rule win.

It was a school record 17 mercy rule win of the season. The most in a single season for the Razorback program. Arkansas has now won their second straight SEC series.
