FAYETTEVILLE, AR (Pig Trail Nation)- The Arkansas Razorbacks softball season ended Saturday night with a 7-2 loss to Villanova in the elimination game of the Fayetteville Regional.

Arkansas started off the day with a game against Arizona, the other winning team from day one. The Wildcats won that match-up 2-1 to advance to the Regional Championship.

“We just really couldn’t get firing, and it’s tough when that happens all in one day,” added Head Coach Courtney Deifel in her post game press conference, “When you kind of lose a heartbreaker, or felt like we were in it the first game, and you don’t pull it out and then you have to sit and wait and, and the other team’s coming off a win. We needed to respond better than we did.”

The Hogs finish the season 37-18 over all and 14-10 in conference play.
