NASHVILLE, Tenn. (KNWA/KFTA) – Following No. 2 Arkansas baseball’s 9-0 game one win against No. 14 Vanderbilt, head coach Dave Van Horn, first baseman Cam Kozeal, and starting pitcher Zach Root spoke to the media.
Arkansas got on the board first in the game after a leadoff triple in the second inning by Ryder Helfrick, who was later brought home on a fielders choice by Nolan Souza. Vanderbilt transfer Cam Kozeal had a night. He hit two home runs against his former team ending the game with five RBI.
Zach Root was lights out for the Razorbacks. The lefty threw 7.2 innings of three hit ball.
