WATCH: Jordyn Wieber talks about Arkansas’ Joscelyn Roberson making Team USA as an alternate

FAYETTEVILLE, Ar. (KNWA/KFTA) – Arkansas incoming freshman gymnast Joscelyn Roberson was named to Team USA as an alternate on Sunday night.

It’s the first time Arkansas will have a gymnast representing them at the Olympic Games.

Arkansas head coach Jordyn Wieber sat down with us on Wednesday to talk about what it was like watching Roberson compete in the Olympic Trials and what it means for the program to have her represent the Hogs in Paris.

Women’s artistic gymnastics kicks off on July 28 in Paris with team qualifications and the team final is on July 30.
