FAYETTEVILLE — Cantonment (Fla.) Tate wide receiver Elijah West enjoyed his official visit to Arkansas this weekend.

West, 6-3, 190, enjoyed a very good junior season. As a junior, caught 42 passes for 584 yards and 10 touchdowns. Following the visit, West talked about how it went.

“I really love the people here and the coaching staff,” West said. “They made me feel at home.”

West also talked about what the highlight of his visit was.

“Just hanging out with my family…. and the stadium, all the food and the photo shoot,” West said.

Where does Arkansas stand now after the visit?

“It was already in the top ranking so and it made it even better,” he said.  “I’ve already been here for a spring practice but it made it even better because I got a full experience on an OV.”

West is being recruited by Ronnie Fouch who has really made a strong impression on him.

“Coach Fouch is a great dude,” West said. “I asked a couple of players and they said he’s going too stay the same and he’s not going to switch up when you commit.”

West has officially visited Michigan State and Georgia Tech and has plans to visit Kansas State next weekend. He plans to announce his college decision on July 1.
