FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas baseball’s portal haul added a Division II All-American on Wednesday.

Harrogate (Tenn.)  Lincoln Memorial corner outfielder Carson Boles (5-11, 190) committed to Arkansas after hitting .475 with 24 doubles, 1 triple, 15 home runs, 68 runs and 68 RBI in 50 games as a junior this past season.

The Lebanon, Tenn., native was named the South Atlantic Conference player of the year after he had 28 multi-hit games this season, 12 with three hits or more, stole 14 of 16 bases and walked 40 times while striking out just 18 times.

Boles’ batting average and doubles were both third-best in Division II this season while his two-baggers and RBIs both set school records.

He is the ninth portal transfer for Arkansas this off season to go along with 17 high school signees and five junior college standouts for next season’s roster.
