FAYETTEVILLE – Former Oklahoma State basketball forward Maria Anais Rodriguez has signed with Arkansas.

Rodriguez, a 6-1 native of Barcelona, Spain, played in 10 games last season for the Cowgirls while averaging 1.4 points and a rebound per outing.

She becomes the fifth transfer that new Razorback head coach Kelso Musick has added since taking over for former head coach Mike Neighbors.

The others are a trio of guards in Kansas’ Wyvette Mayberry (5-7) and the Oral Roberts University 5-10 duo of Tayleah Jones and Emily Robinson and 6-3 Eastern Arizona College center Ashlynn Chlarson.

Rodriguez becomes a teammate once again with Arkansas forward Cristina Sánchez Cerqueira as she was previously with Barceonla’s Segle XXI, a Spanish women’s basketball team in the Catalan Basketball Federation.

Rodriguez averaged 12.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists while playing 25 games before signing with Oklahoma State.

She also averaged 8.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists while helping Spain win silver at FIBA U18 Women’s Eurobasket.
