WATCH: Dave Van Horn speaks to media after the Hogs’ first scrimmage of the spring

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) – Following the first scrimmage of the 2025 spring season, Arkansas baseball head coach Dave Van Horn spoke to the media.

Cardinal defeated the Red team 4-1 behind the bats of Nolan Souza, Ryder Helfrick, and Rocco Peppi. Gabe Gaeckle threw two innings of shutout ball allowing no hits and recording two strikeouts and a walk.

Coach Van Horn discussed Gaeckle and Gage Wood’s starts, the rest of the pitchers who threw in the scrimmage, Kendall Diggs playing to first base, and battling the cold weather three weeks from the season.
